Form Healthy Eating Habits For Beautiful Skin

Beautify the inside and it will show on the outside

Suggestion: Keep some “survival” foods on hand and nearby, such as bananas, apples, nuts or other healthy snacks that will keep, in the car, at your desk, or in your backpack to help satisfy that hunger when it hits.  Try to make it a habit to snack on something healthy. This will allow you to make a smarter choice vs. the FAST and convenient choice of foods.

  • Drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses of water every day—add a slice of fresh lemon or lime for extra flavor and zest. In addition to keeping cells hydrated, water helps cells move nutrients in and toxins out which helps leave skin looking better
  • Eat seafood at least three times each week for the oils found in fish that help nourish your skin
  • Eat at least eight servings of fruits and vegetables every day (choose a variety of different colors—red tomatoes, green peppers, orange squash—for the greatest amount of healthy antioxidants)
  • Make sure your diet includes 20 to 30 percent of calories from healthier fats such as avocado, olive oil, canola oil and the oils in wheat germ and flaxseeds to prevent dry skin
