Work Out Wear
If you are like many of us, the New Year means new resolutions and almost all of us have the action item to loose weight on that list. Although, I can’t make you go to the gym, I can provide some tips about buying new workout wear that looks so good that you will want to go to the gym. Read on…
Workout wear today comes in all shapes, types of fabric, and colors. Gone are the days of wearing tight leotards and neon prints. If you have these in your wardrobe still – toss them. Same if you have the thong for over top of the leotard. It wasn’t a good look then and certainly is not permitted now. After you have cleansed your wardrobe of all oversized t-shirts, stained items, and anything with holes or tears you are ready to start.
No matter what your size or shape start with a good sports bra. You need to hold your precious girls in place which requires good support. Champion, Under Armor, Nike, Adidas and others all make sports bras that look good and provide the support required to exercise. Always buy at least one in black, and then build on this with other colors.
T-shirts are another item that is always needed. Go for a slimming style that tailors to the body and sits at the hips. This is the most flattering style for almost all figures and will be in style for years to come. Oversize shirts are enlarging and shirts that are too tight won’t allow you to move. There are so many great colors out there so have fun trying them on and picking the one that works best for you and your overall workout outfit.
Pants come in every shape, style, fabric and color. The point is to match your purpose for wearing them (running, hiking, etc) with what looks good on you. For basic all around workouts, the black boot fit lycra pant is a safe option and very flattering. If you have a Lucy store near you go there to shop for your pants. They specialize in different length and sizes to fit and flatter your curves. Your pants should be comfortable, gorgeous and sexy on you. Make sure you can move in them.
Fabrics that wick away sweat are worth the money as they keep you feeling comfortable so you can work out longer.
Get that heart rate pumping ladies. Whether it be through the shopping or the work out!
Until next week-
Best-
Andrea
