This season if you do one thing right…buy something white. It is the season’s staple and most popular trend. Whether you go “full on” with a white linen suit or take on the trend quietly with a pair or shoes, belt or clutch – you need something white in your closet. This week we dive into sprucing up your wardrobe for spring 2007 with something white.

The most popular way to take on this trend is with an eyelet dress. Many shapes and styles are available in this cotton fabric. My personal favorites include a no sleeve wrap, classic shift, and the new trapeze styles. With these shapes in mind any figure is sure to look fabulous, plus you can take the first two styles from work to a night out without changing a thing.

The tried and true option in white is a crisp white button down shirt. Invest in great quality as this tried and true staple is an important item for every season, year after year. If you have an Anne Fontaine in your area, it’s worth the visit; other options include PINK, and Banana Republic.

Lastly, and a really fun way to make this trend work without taking any major plunges is to add a white purse, white platform sandals, or white ballet flats into your spring/summer wardrobe. The white purse is a fabulous option this season and can be incorporated into any outfit. Chose from a clutch, white accents on a wicker bag, or a large oversize bag in a modern shape.
