Weddings

Its summer ladies and across the country couples are tying the knot.  Whether you are the mother of the bride, grandmother, guest or even the bride herself- you want to look your best.  Besides the fact that you are bound to be caught on camera, weddings are often one of the few times that extended family get together. Put your best face forward by following some of the tips that follow.

Step 1 – Don’t try to look too sexy. This is not appropriate – period.  Do try to look gorgeously fresh in your make up and hair… and fabulous in your outfit selection.

Step 2 – Find out the bride’s colors so you don’t show up in the same color dress as the bridesmaids.  This simple request will save you looking like a lost bridesmaid at the big event.  The only time this does not apply is if the bridesmaids are wearing black.

Step 3 – Getting Dressed

Evening Wedding

If the event is in the evening and is formal, then dress in an evening gown or simple cocktail dress. Again, keep that sexy number in the closet for another occasion.  Brocade and silk are great options for this type of event.  Be sure to add a little sparkle in your accessories to formalize for evening.

Daytime Wedding

With all of the great dresses out there this season, the simplest and most chic option for a day wedding is the dress. A tried and true classic that looks great on all body types is the sheath dress.  Pair with a matching jacket, all tailored to your body in fun color or fabulous fabric.  Accessories can dress this style up or down and incorporate modern trends.  This season’s cut of sheath dress is more roomy than the classic and often has pockets or a bubble skirt incorporated.

Have fun at your wedding and enjoy looking great at this special event.
Best-
Andrea
