Your Core Self – Your Essential Spirit
How did you do with the questions and exercises from last week? Some of you may have found this exercise easy, while others struggled with it. If you found it difficult to answer these questions, it is possible that you have lost yourself in others and in the daily grind. In your efforts to please those around you, you may have deferred your own needs and desires so much that you are no longer connected with them. Even if you found this difficult, keep trying because this is a crucial step in building and strengthening your relationship with Self. Getting clear about who you are at this level will also help you communicate your needs and desires to others. Remember that you teach others how you want to be treated so it is important that you know and understand your needs.
Once you are more familiar and acquainted with these basics, it’s time to go even deeper and make that connection with your core Self – your essential spirit – the transcendent part of you that possesses deep wisdom and infinite intelligence. Your essential spirit is a spark of all that is good and beautiful in this Universe. Strengthening the connection with your essential spirit helps you unlock your full potential and live a balanced life that is full of meaning and purpose. Making this connection also helps you develop that unconditional self-love. Learning to love yourself in this way will allow you to attract healthy relationships and receive the love you deserve.
This week find some time each day to continue your practice of getting to know yourself. Making time for yourself each day is an important part of deepening your relationship with Self. Next week, we will look at ways to strengthen the connection with your essential spirit.

Create a great week!
