The Continuation Of Email Problems
I know I have ranted on and on about computer problems and glitches. I have made a new discovery in this area. I am never quite sure what to do with some of my emails, whether to save them delete them or put them into folders. I was a Microsoft Outlook user until I had a computer crash. I never did quite understand how to archive or save the emails.
But, I am digressing….because I did not know how to back up my emails and folders in Microsoft outlook, I began using my internet provider’s mail service to receive email and send email. This way I would never loose my beloved emails because the only way that would happen would be if the internet provider crashed.
The problem with this brilliant solution was that routine tasks like deleting email took so long! I would spend periods of thirty minutes at a time to sit and go through the process of deleting large groups of email. (I know, you are saying, do it as you go along!) Well, it got away from me. I tried to delete as I go, but that didn’t happen as planned.
Feeling as though I was close to tears with the boring task of deleting email, I decided I would throw care and risk to the wind and go back to Microsoft Outlook. Well, I am very happy to report that the email deleting is going quite well, and very quickly. I am planning to get new folders up to snuff and running by next week, in order to categorize the email I want to save for future reference.
And, oh yes, I plan to complete the learning of how to back up the folders and files in Outlook and also retrieve as needed!
Until next week,
Lorraine
