Sunglasses
Always, always, always wear sunglasses in the summer and really – all year long. Not only are they the best accessory around, but they are great protection for your eyes from the sun. This week we explore the latest styles and how to find a shape that works well on you. All of these styles can be worn with everything in your closet as long as they fit your face.
Aviators are the most classic style and the most stylish sunglass option this summer season. Every designer has their own version this year so there are plenty of colors and sizes to suit your face.
Wraps are the best option to protect your entire eye area and not allow sun to peak in the sides. This style is more sporty and modern, than the above. Again, every designer has a few styles in their collection that are wraps. When trying them on, be sure your eyelashes don’t hit the lenses when you blink and that they don’t pinch behind your ears.
The shield is the newest addition to the sunglass style set this season. This style looks a bit like ski goggles without the elastic band in the back. Typically, this style is rimless and has a gradient lens. Some designers have added details to the arms to add a little something special and unique to their version of this style. When trying on be sure they fit your face as this is a big sunglass and can easily overwhelm which will draw attention to you in the wrong way.
Oversize is quickly become a classic style in sunglasses. Many designers this year have done this version in a very seventies retro look that incorporates gold into the frames. This style goes with everything!
Pair your selection from the styles above with your favorite outfits, and…on your way out the door remember to look in the mirror, and smile at that gorgeous reflection looking back at you.
