Unlocking Your Creativity Tips 5 – 6
We all get in a rut now and then and feel like we don’t have any more creativity left. We are tapped out. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to reconnect with your creativity and step back into the flow of creativity. Here are tips 5 –7 in this series.
5) Play/laugh - Nothing opens the channel to creativity better than laughter, play, and letting your inner child out. Children are naturally creative. Unfortunately, over time children receive negative feedback and begin to lose connection with their creativity. To recharge your creative mind, get out, play and have fun – be child-like. Watch funny movies and laugh. Before you know it, those ideas will be flowing again.
6) Get out in nature – Go for a hike in the woods or a walk on the beach. Take some time to connect with nature. It is amazing the creative energy that you can absorb from being in nature. Be sure to focus your attention in the present moment and your experience in nature. Nature is very creative. Think of the way that plants and trees grow on the side of a cliff in places that seem inhabitable for any life. Notice the way that the waves carve out the beach and form new patterns with each wave. Let nature inspire you.
I’d love to hear from you about your experiences with creativity. Please feel free to share your thoughts or questions by leaving a comment here.
Next week, I will cover tips 7 – 10.
Create a great week!
