Tell A Story
This month we are focusing on developing the skill of self-promotion. One of the best ways to highlight your greatest gifts and talents is to tell a story. Everyone enjoys a good story, right?
Create interesting stories you can share with others as appropriate situations present themselves. These stories will come in handy in a variety of professional settings, such as:
- Weekly staff meetings
- Performance reviews
- During conversations with clients or prospects
- In job interviews
Once you’ve developed your stories, keep practicing them. You will naturally hone your presentation as you learn what works best with specific target audiences. Push yourself through any uncomfortable feelings you may have about sharing your accomplishments. The more you practice, the more natural it will feel. And, you’ll feel gratified as people start recognizing you more for your talents, contributions and accomplishments!
Until next month…

Hi -I know the value of storytelling - but HOW do you create your story? What are the elements of a good story? How do you figure out what part of your business, your experiences or your successes make a good story?
Thanks,
Cheryl
