Action is an Attractor
“Please understand my friend, that where you find yourself tomorrow is a function of the positive decisions and actions you take today.”
~Akin A. Awolaja, educator
I was told many times in my coach training classes, “Great conversation without action is not coaching, it’s simply great conversation.” Of course, there’s nothing wrong with having a good chat with friends. We all need supportive, meaningful dialogue and sometimes all we want to do is talk. However, you must be in action if you want to make progress on your goals. Nike created the perfect slogan for this principle, “Just Do It!” Whenever you really want something, you can’t sit around, talk about it, and wait for that something to happen, because you could be waiting a long time.
Attract Results More Quickly
If you want your desires to come to you more quickly, you must align your actions to match them. You’ll be in perfect alignment with your goals when you can clearly envision them, easily communicate them and steadily act upon them. A person who is badly out of alignment will think one thing, feel or say something entirely different, and then act in a way that doesn’t match any of their thoughts, words or feelings. They seem to be tied up in a ball of conflicting impulses and it can be a confusing experience to be around them, to say the least. When people habitually operate out of alignment, they slow their progress and create inconsistent, intermittent results.
It’s true that we all feel unsure at times and everyone needs time to think things through; but once you do get clear, you need to start moving forward again
