Conference with your spirit, Part 2
Last week I described a conference with your spirit. This week we will look at the preparation necessary to plan a successful conference with your spirit.
Preparation- If you are feeling burned out, frustrated, disconnected, and/or overwhelmed, it is a good time to plan a conference with your spirit. Even If you have been nurturing your spirit daily, a conference with your spirit is a good idea from time to time so that you can deepen this connection. Choose a place where you can go to get away from the daily grind and spend some quality time meditating and connecting with your spirit. You can choose to take a day, a long weekend, or a week.
You might go away to a favorite vacation spot or simply go to a local park. The details of where and how long are not as important as your commitment to connecting with your spirit. Be sure to pick a place that feels good and comfortable to you. You can choose to go by yourself or with close friends or family. If you decide to go with others, be sure that they support your process and will give you the time and space that you need to conference with your spirit.
You will want to take a journal with you to record your thoughts and experience. You may also want to take an mp3 player so that you can play quiet soothing music to help you relax. Any other special objects that help you feel connected to your spirit will be helpful too.
Next week we will look at what to do during your conference with your spirit.
Create a great week!
Kirsten
