Put Action Behind Your Intentions
It feels good to deliberately create and influence your own day; and there’s no day like today to do something, even one thing, to advance an important goal. Once you set your intentions, begin acting on them.
Try this Coaching Exercise: Each morning, write out your daily intentions in a journal. Simply start by writing: “Today I intend to create and experience the following…” and freely write for just a minute or two until you feel complete.
Coaching Tip: put ACTION behind your intentions
Don’t let perfectionism or the fear of failure stop you from taking action on your intentions. While procrastination or avoidance might feel better in the moment, being productive actually feels much better overall. When you set intentions, you’re essentially planting seeds for what you want to see happening in your life; the actions that you take to support your intentions are like giving those seeds the water and sunlight needed to grow. Today, take the action needed to support your good intentions.
NOTE: You don’t have to wear yourself by being in an action frenzy. Once you’ve written you intentions, a few inspired ideas will come to you; and maybe only one action step is obvious to you. Begin by taking action on this one inspired idea. Then relax, and let the day take care of itself. In fact, you might be amazed at what unfolds when you combine clear intentions with a few small, but inspired, action steps.
Until Next Week!
Yours in Abundance,
Christen
