Commit

This is usually the time (of the year) we start seeing the parking lots at gyms a little less crowded and a few less people motivated to keep their New Year’s resolutions going.  But…it’s not too late to reclaim your health goals!  Remember how dedicated you were on January 1st to live a better quality of life?  What was important to you?  Why was it important to you?  And, do you believe when you set your health and wellness goals they were real?  Re commit…NOW, not tomorrow, not next week, but this exact moment.  You know you want to live healthier and you know you CAN.  COMMIT! 

How do you do it?  Write down what I just asked you, what is important and why?   Really ask yourself why?  Then, remember these words which were spoken to me a few years ago…”there are no excuses…only priorities! “

Once you determine the why and what then take one “what” and write down 3 things you can do to lead you closer to your goal.  For instance, if being able to get your heart in better shape is a “what”, 3 things you can do might be:

  1. Add and extra 10 min of cardio a day 6x a week into your life
  2. Reduce your saturated fat intake in ½ of what you normally do now
  3. Take a yoga class 1x a week 

Practice these 3 things for one month, then go to your next “what” while still practicing the new habits you’ve already created. 

I can bet by summer, you will feel amazing!
