Practice Conscious Living

Another core value that will help you achieve balance is to practice conscious living. People who achieve their dreams do it with a plan. They may start out simply doing something they are passionate about, but eventually to achieve substantial results, they had to sit down and map out a plan. They made changes in their lives and began to live in a very conscious way. They began to pay attention to what they said yes and no to. They began to choose how they reacted to negative people and situations. They began to consciously choose to surround themselves with other people who had fun accomplishing their dreams. They decided to be disciplined about their choices. And they chose to consciously enjoy every moment they could going forward.

Today—begin to practice conscious living—make sure you aren’t on autopilot. How do you know if you are on autopilot? Sometimes making excuses or blaming others can be a sign that you are living your life on autopilot. Sometimes situations in our lives or behaviors we have learned from our childhood can be the reason we don’t know how to live life in a conscious way. One of my favorite phrases ever is “You do better when you know better.” Don’t look back, just look forward. And don’t wait another day to get busy living life in a way that feels joyful to you.

To your success,

Calling All Worn-Out Women

Have the holidays left you feeling depleted and worn out? Ever notice that as wonderful as the holidays, family time, and vacation can be, they have a nasty habit of leaving us exhausted. I think I know why…no me time. Could it really be that simple? I believe so.

If you’re feeling spent and need a little recharging of your battery, here’s a quick activity for anyone who needs to focus a little more on “me” time (and that includes pretty much all of us, right?).

Create a list of 50 things you like to do.

This may sound daunting, but it’s actually really fun to think about everything that makes you smile and brings joy into your life. The best part of writing it down is trading your list with your friends and/or spouse if you can convince them to do it.

If you’re really burnt out, try seeing how many of your favorite things you can pack into one special day…like New Years, birthdays, holidays. Since New Year’s Day is rapidly approaching and I’m not much of a sports or parade fan, I decided to give the list a try. In the interest of time, I did 25. I’m sure I’ll add to it as I give it more thought. It took me less than 5 minutes to come up with my list, so give it a shot.  Then publish it and give it to those who love you and might be inclined to make some of those things happen!

My list so far…write, journal, scrapbook, shop for scrapbook supplies, shop for other things, blog, drink coffee, drink coffee while hanging out at Starbucks, drink coffee at Starbucks reading a good book, read, browse bookstores, run, walk outside, visit the ocean, enjoy nature, take photographs, watch romantic comedies, spend quality time with my honey, take walks with my kids, eat guilt-free frozen yogurt, organize stuff and people, connect and reconnect with friends, learn, teach, dance!

Notice a few themes? Scrapbooking…books…coffee. I’m a pretty simple girl really! If you’re in need of some rest or feeling overwhelmed by life, pick something from your list and “just do it!” Five minutes, fifteen minutes or a whole afternoon…give it a try. You’ll be inspired, energized and have more to give to those you love the most.

Feel free to post your lists in the forums. Maybe it will inspire others and help me add to my list. Wouldn’t we all be happier moms, wives, friends, and women if we just took a little more “me” time every day

Until next year…live creative!
Tasra

Love the Dream You’re With

If there is something that you are doing that does not excite or fulfill you, why are you doing it? Many of us work so we can afford to do what we’re passionate about. Others have figured out how to get paid for doing what they love. This is an important skill to cultivate. Either way, the secret to living a joyful, fulfilling life is to do more of what you love every day.

Although some things make us feel better, ultimately the critical work for us to do is on ourselves. What does it take for you to be happy? When is enough, enough? How do you count your blessings? How big does something special have to be before you declare it a miracle?

One way to love what you are doing, where you are, and even who you are, begins with acceptance. Follow this quickly with gratitude and you will be on your way to a new perspective. Can you appreciate everything; even the tough, challenging moments that life offers to help us grow?

Explore where or how you can do less of what you don’t love, that which is no longer aligned with your heart, soul or vision. We don’t always have a choice, but when someone asks you to do something that you don’t want to do, if you don’t have to do it, consider saying, “No thank you.”

As you clear some clutter, you make more time and space for that which truly does light you up. To discover this place within you, schedule some soul time.  If you can, join us at the Masters of Manifestation program

Don’t let a once in a life time opportunity pass you by.

Demonstrate that you are a serious Dreamer (vs. a day dreamer), by making important things happen. If your Doubter or Realist voices are saying things like, “It’s not the right time, you can’t afford it, don’t deserve it or just plain shouldn’t go,” here is my personal coaching.

Life is made up of precious miracles, moments and memories. I know if you put a stake in the ground now, clearly stating your intention, it will happen. For example, just saying, “I am going no matter what,” could be one of the most profound steps of your life. Yes, “I am going because I choose to and want to” is enough.

Then calm your Realist and perhaps even Doubter voices by doing whatever it takes to make this happen. Transformation occurs when we say yes to the dreams we truly desire, even when there may be little or no evidence that it is the “right” thing to do. If your heart says yes and you want to be with us, then choose it and make it so.  That’s what real courage is all about.

This is the last time we are offering this beautiful piece of soul work. If you are ready for a deeper and more profound relationship with yourself, please consider joining us. Either way, make time for your dreams and fall in love with your life all over again.

Marcia
