“VIP” of Positive Leadership consists of creating a clear Vision, Influencing your team with encouragement and support and finally, being a role model, or what I call the Prototype.

A Prototype is a framework or preliminary example, which implies that future models will be an improvement. As leaders, this is something to aspire towards – being a role model and example for a team that will naturally grow and better themselves over time.

As a leader when you build a strong foundation upon which to emulate, it empowers your team, who in turn becomes energized to create the next “model” of success.

TAKE ACTION! TIP: Be a Prototype
When you lead by example, people respect you. When your successors improve upon your foundational model, that is the ultimate compliment. Being a prototype means you don’t have to know it all – you can learn and grow through the process with your team. Doesn’t that make life easier – to know that you do not have to know it all? What a relief!

MONTH’S SUMMARY:
Leadership and self care are intertwined. Being a great leader empowers your team. It also enables you to lead a lot easier with less effort and more confidence.
